Small Business: Laws In State Of MASS?
I’ve bought my own domain name- including a website that is currently up and running. I am offering services for both sports and Internet advertising such as both SEO and link building.
My questions are as follow:
#1, In the state of MASS, Do I need to open up a checking out as doing small business as……..?
#2, If yes, do I need to register my small business name with my city hall?
#3, Or can I offer my services and products with our having to go thru steps #1 and #2?

#2 Not city hall, but you do need an FEIN (federal employer ID number). You will also need to determine if you charge sales tax and pay it to your state. You will also need a STATE EIN number as well…… the FEIN is about $10.. state.. about the same.. so its cheap…
#3 Only if you want to do some SERIOUS ‘splainin’ when you get audited…..
