Top 6 Questions About Russell Brunson’s Local Marketing Myth

Russell Brunson’s Local Marketing Myth debuted on the Internet Marketing scene in May 2010. What’s it all about?  I had difficulty finding any in-depth information so I dove in and bought for $497 and a sixty day guarantee period so I could look inside. After spending~ an entire day yesterday inside the Local Marketing Myth system I figured I’d share some answers to the questions I had and couldn’t find information on.

1.    What do you get with Russell Brunson’s Local Marketing Myth?
Access to a “business-in-a-box” that targets main street small business owners. The pitch to main street businesses is that an administrative assistant can accomplish most of your critical search engine optimization tasks in her spare time versus hiring an expensive Internet marketing consultant. The package itself is fifty-two of Internet marketing week-by-week training for the local business owner.

2.    What’s the cost?
$497 to promote the training package to small businesses and enroll affiliate for the Local Marketing Myth business-in-a-box.

3.    How do you earn money with Russell Brunson’s Local Marketing Myth?
2 primary ways.
1.    You sell the training package to small business owners.
2.    You resell the Local Marketing Myth as a business opportunity.

4.    What are the commissions for sales to main street businesses?
The answer depends on how you configure your set-up. I tested out both in about an hour to be able to compare and contrast them.

Option A:

You let Russell Brunson and team host the sales pages, process the money, deal with refund requests etc… The hosted pages sell the training product for $27 per month of which you collect $20. The customer is later contacted by Russell’s call center and you share in a portion of any upsells. This other page has the Local Marketing Myth commission PDF available.

Option B:

You host the site yourself and connect your personal PayPal or merchant account to the Order button. You can name your own price and keep 100%. (Note that Russell says the number $27 numerous times in the video, so charging any other price would be confusing to shoppers.)  With this choice Russell Brunson’s call center does not offer any upsells, but you certainly can!

5.    Which option is better?
Depends on what you value and the strategy of your business. I picked Option B (host myself) because I wanted control of the customer. When you host yourself, the small business owners are your customer and you handle any customer service issues or refunds. But, you also get to keep them on YOUR mailing list where YOU can promote related products of your own. As far as I could tell, if a person buys through the hosted pages, Russell Brunson and team get their contact information, but you don’t.

6.    Is “Internet Marketing For…” a good product for the end consumer?
Since I just began yesterday and there are fifty-two weeks of content inside, it’s too early to comment. Russell Brunson is well-known as a top marketer and if he’s giving his best work in the fifty-two week program I would expect it to hold tons of value for the local business person. More to come.

The only true way to investigate a product and a system is by going through the sales funnel yourself. I personally am a fan of extended guarantee periods. At sixty days, Local Marketing Myth is very generous and gives you plenty of to test out whether it is right for you. Continue your study of the Local Marketing Myth by Russell Brunson here.
