Mrs. Dalloway: Redgrave is glowing as the spouse of a British M.P., who on the night of a soiree, thinks back to her youth when she selected between a safe, secure life and a more challenging presence with a gentleman who genuinely loved her. McElhone is a phenomenal match for Redgrave in the flashback scenes. Cast includes Vanessa Redgrave, Natascha McElhone, Rupert Graves, Michael Kitcben, Alan Cox, Lena Headey, Amelia Bulhnore, Sarah Badel, Oliver Ford Davies, Katie Carr, John Sitting, Robert Hardy, Margaret Tyzack, and Phyllis Calvert. (97 minutes, 1998)

Night Nurse: Phenomenal, hard story of nurse (Stanwyck) who couldn’t disregard bizarre goings on in home where she works. Blondell adds zingy aid and it is one of Gable’s most impressive early appearances. Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, Ben Lyon, Joan Blondell, Clark Gable, Charlotte Merriam, and Charles Winninger.

The Hills Run Red: Civil War Western of stolen payrolls. The movie is badly dubbed and loosely performed. Cast includes Thomas Hunter, Henry Silva, Dan Duryea, and Nando Gazzola. (89 mnutes, 1966)

The Red Violin: Multi-episode film follows the destiny of a hexed violin from 17th-century Italy to 18th century Vienna, 19th century England, 20th-century China and present day Montreal. The tales are mainly downbeat and or aggravating, and the finish up part with appraiser Jackson is difficult to swallow. Colorful locales and enthralling premises sustain limited interest all the way through. Cast includes Carlo Cecchi, Irene Grazioli, Jean-Luc Bideau, Jason Flemyng, Greta Scacchi, Sylvia Chang, Samuel L. Jackson, Colm Feore, Monique Mercure, Don McKellar, and Sandra Oh. Alien from L.A.: California Valley Gal falls down into a gap and finds her in the lost city of Atlantis. The movie is as stupid as it sounds. Cast includes Kathy Ireland, Thorn Matthews, William R. Moses, Don Michael Paul, Richard Haines, Linda Kerridge, and Janie du Plessis. (87 minutes, 1987)

Mother: Sad youthful female who lives with her mom plans to carry out suicide. Her mommy invests the day trying to keep her from doing it. Well performed, prompted, and revised, although still just a stage drama. Cast includes Sissy Spacek and Anne Bancroft. (96 minutes, 1986)

Strange Behavior: This shocker in regards to a grisly murder in a tiny Midwestern town (shot in New Zealand!) got inexplicably excellent reviews in numerous places.
