Lose Weight – Losing 10 Pounds Fast – Some Views
Serial dieters can often get locked in the same way of thinking about weight loss, even if they constantly try new diets. Take this concept for example: There’s a belief in society that if we succumb to temptation and snack throughout the day, we’ll just get heavier and heavier! But is this strictly true?
Traditionalists would have it that breakfast, lunch and dinner are all anyone needs for a healthy diet. But this doesn’t appear to be enough according to weight loss analysts today. Could this possibly make sense?
Won’t sitting down to eat more often lead to a weight increase? Long spaces between meals make us feel as though we’re getting somewhere with our diet. In actual fact that’s not the case.
With numerous hours between meals, our need to eat has a long time to build. Our enthusiasm for food therefore can be excessive when the next meal arrives. Then we end up eating greater amounts than is conducive to losing weight. Our evening meal is often the one where we make the worst choices about how much to eat. Which means we go to bed with a full stomach!
If on the other hand we were to eat five smaller meals each day, we’d be less likely to feel so hungry. Our body appreciates the regular food input. This makes it much more efficient at processing food through our system.
If it’s not fed on a frequent basis, it has to retain fat in case it needs an energy reserve later on. Hence we can struggle to lose weight despite the fact that we’re starving ourselves.
It’s much easier to get more calories sooner (without over-eating) if we have small frequent meals. Then there’s much more chance the food will be processed efficiently, and not left to add to our weight. It is also much harder to keep a check on what we eat when we start a meal feeling famished.
Salads and ‘light choice’ options just do not cut it! We want stodgy carbo-loading food such as breads and pastas. These are fine for the quick hit to satisfy, but are not going to help with a weight loss program. In summation, the most comfortable and effective way to lose weight is to eat little and often.
