The Two Top Tips For Writing Killer Google Ads

by Mark Mason

Google is, without a doubt, one of the top search engines around. This is why if you avail of their AdWords service, you can be almost certain that your ad will be placed in spots that will surely cause a surge in traffic to your website. Being the best, Google will find ways to make your ads as successful as possible. However, if you don’t know how to write Google ads in the first place, using their Adwords service might not give you the profit that you expect.

Using Adwords is one thing but having a great ad is completely another. What you need to realize is that you can only drive traffic to your site if your ad is great. This is not an easy thing to do. You will need to do a few things first before releasing an ad that will truly work.

Your Google ad should have two parts. These two parts are important if you want your PPC campaign to be effective. A good understanding of these two parts should be a big help in converting your visitors to paying customers.

The keywords are the first main part of your ad. One of the best ways to know which keywords to use is to imagine what your potential customers will search on the search engines if they are looking for a product or service. Use these keywords on your ad so that you can target these visitors.

Once you know the right keywords, do not repeat them many times in your ad. This is called keyword stuffing and it’s not a wise move. If you do this, your CTR (click-thru rate) and conversion will suffer. So make sure that you do not use the keywords repeatedly in your ad.

The call to action tag is the second part of your ad. This tag is that aspect of your ad that will make the reader want to click it and check out what you have to offer. This is the part of your ad that needs to be very interesting. If it’s a question form that most readers will want to know the answer to, chances are that your ad will be clicked. So you need to write a very effective tag.

Having these two parts are important but if you are not targeting the right people with your ad, it will not work. You can make sure that you are targeting the right people by understanding your niche and having a clear idea of who will buy your products or avail of your services. Otherwise, you will get clicks on your ad but not sales.

After making your ad, you need to review it. Read it aloud or ask somebody else to read it. Ask other people if your ad is interesting or it makes them curious about your product. If the ad makes them want to check the products you sell or the services you offer, it will work. And if they have ideas on how to improve your ad, ask them.
