The Seniors: 4 collegians open a fake sex hospital, which mushrooms into a multi million dollar business. The movie is alternately stupid and sarcastic, with some harmless nudity thrown in. Rent-a-Kid: While the head of an orphanage takes a holiday, dad Nielsen takes over with a plan to raise money by renting out kids. While unsurprising, this stupid premise is surprisingly effective. Eventually 3 youngsters are rented by a hip ’90s couple considering adopting. A respectable family flick. Cast includes Leslie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, Matt McCoy, Sherry Miller, and Amos Crawley. (89 minutes, 1995)
Delusion: Hard, tight thriller in reference to a yuppie pc executive-embezzler and his plight after seeing a Las Vegas show gal and her hit man boyfriend (Secor, in an eye-opening acting job) on a Death Valley freeway commit a killing. Cast includes Jim Metzler, Jennifer Rubin, Kyle Secor, Robert Costanzo, Tracey Walter, and Jerry Orbach. (100 minutes, 1990)
They Won’t Forget: Thrilling drama starts while pretty high school scholar is killed in Southern town. A gentleman is arrested, and a well known Northern attorney takes the case, however everyone appears more fascinated with capitalizing on personal desires than in due process. No punches are held in this still-commanding film. Lana Turner plays the unlucky gal, in her first big role. Cast includes Claude Pours, Gloria Dickson, Otto Kruger, Allyn Joslyn, Elisha Chef, Jr., and Edward Norris. (95 minutes, 1937)
